- Create home for the fishes
Use cut up Christmas tree pieces and throw them in the pond to create a place for fish to hide beneath. Just be sure not to use trees that have been chemically treated or still have decorations (like tinsel) attached to them.
- Make the ‘purrfect’ cat tree
Make your cat a new playground by covering the large branches and trunk of the Christmas tree with carpet pieces. Anchor the trunk down, attach some rope pieces, and you’ve successfully made a new place for the fuzzball to play around.

Crush pine needles and pour them into a fresh bowl of potpourri or store them inside of sachets to make a unique air freshener. Now, your room will smell like Christmas throughout the year.
